Spent Firing-Range Bullets Are Transformed into Bejeweled Rings
Violence is never pretty, but the implements of destruction themselves can possess their own twisted allure. Much like the Gun Reclamation Project rehabilitates firearms into jewelry, Israeli designer Adi Zaffran Weisler refashions spent bullets into one-of-a-kind rings. Dug up from various firing ranges, the misshaped bullets resemble organically formed jewels, forged from metal, fire, and gunpowder.http://www.ecouterre.com/15839/spent-firing-range-bullets-are-transformed-into-bejeweled-rings/
This NYC company are almost there. Some of their stuff is a little insensitive and clumsy…….sounds harsh, but look and you’ll see. However the bigger units / cabinets are pretty nice and I would definitely go for the random wood wall coverings.

Debbie Bowness.
stocked by caravan in London, and just discovered her shop / studio in hastings on the seafront, fab spot! very jealous. Lovely work.
For extreme coffee drinkers with a conscience……..would soon end up as a congealed mess of mocha choca something for me, nice idea but can I wash it?? or perhaps I would end up wearing it as a wrist cuff? Laptop covers and ipod sleeves are worth a look, pretty slick…….

Have blogged about Katie before, but her furniture and lighting just really works. Her designs are not pretentious, they are comfortable. I really like her style. These Milk bottle lights are so cute.

So a couple of projects on the table. Firstly the oil can (a competition with Tom at Retrouvius) who can make the best chair out of this…………….
Secondly Adam at Retrouvius has given me this brilliant chair to practice my upholstery skills on…… someone has taken a saw to the back legs unfortunately so they need a bit of work also, but for now while I am contemplating it’s new look the cats have both decided it’s their favourite new sleeping place, the seal of approval!
so watch this space………… x
